About View Pacific

The view from here is fantastic. Doesn’t that ocean just sparkle?!

Hey, wait, what’s that on the horizon? It’s not part of a melting iceberg is it? A shark out of its usual territory? A half-empty (half-full?) supertanker?

Well, these are my views right now. Click on any topic that seems interesting.

I’d love to see things from your view! Tell me more.

Consider this an open source journal. Instead of secret diaries or controlled-release discussions with authority figures, these thoughts are part of my way to invite you to be my teacher. By reflecting back what you hear, whether it be negative, positive, thoughtful, etc., I’ll have the chance to learn something. If you do, too, well, that’s fine.

What I say doesn’t come from any position of authority or enlightened perfection. Far from it! I’m saying and asking these things because I’m working out where I get stuck.

I’ll leave it you – do I have my head in the clouds, or are those clouds in my head?

  1. the view from here is lovely capt’n!! expansive views, luminescent ear candy, undaunted inner silence, enlightenment on the setting horizon, and of course concrete jungle as far as the eye can see….

  2. In the day you shall not find that which you seek.
for in darkness it hides and in light it cannot be revealed,
when the veil is thick and the dark night so long,
it is only Love that that can dispel an ignorance so strong,
and like mist it will be lifted to reveal the mountain peak,
and at last you shall become that which you seek……

  3. Hi, I wanted to thank you for the follow!
My blog is a bilingual one. So you may get links to poems in English as well as to some in Italian… Pictures, on the other hand, have no language barriers 😉
    Keep up the good work.

  7. Thank you for being so kind in your response to my take on Juan Ramone Jimenez’s “The Definitive Journey”. I don’t ordinarily post a comment on someone’s blog but your description of the poem drew me in and compelled me to reply with my own thoughts. I’m glad I found this insightful cyberspace. I will be checking in from time to time from now on for some more insightful musings. Thanks again.

  8. Hi Chris,

  9. Vincent, it is a pleasure to meet you. Thanks for the follow and the connection. As for the question about the ‘clouds’ – I wonder, is it possible that you are ‘Esme on the Cloud’ and ‘Hariod’s’ love child? 🙂
