“An unquestioned mind is the world of suffering.” – Byron Katie
If we don’t watch what we’re doing, we’ll run into the same ruts again.
It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s even inevitable and can be helpful. Things that don’t work as we expect give us a chance to learn something.
Repeating mistakes, though, and expecting different results, is the definition of insanity.
Being out of touch with reality brings discomfort. By itself, discomfort is not a bad thing. After all, hopes and dreams are in our imagination and shape our future. It’s when we persist in denial of things as they are that discomfort deepens into suffering.
We have the choice to accept or deny reality.
Firmly established in acceptance, we can truly see where we are. Then, from there we can do our dreaming consciously.
Beautifully said! We need to learn from our mistakes, but I think for a lot people, admitting that they made a mistake is the first step 🙂
Few folks realize they can choose to accept or deny reality. Thank you for being a guiding light on this path. Thanks also for visiting my blog http://www.FindYourMiddleGround.com. I hope we will connect more fellow traveller. Val x
