“I’m living this life for the first time.”
“I’m living this life for the last time.”
Those both sound true. Those both sound so different.
As the first time, I can feel a lot of curiosity and wonder. Life is an exploration. There’s always something new.
As the last time, I can go into sadness, knowing that this is it, my last chance. Or, knowing this life is my last time, I can feel a stronger sense of urgency about living life fully.
Noticing both statements to be true at the same time doesn’t seem conflicting. Together they help keep me awake, noticing, and living.
