I choose to live by choice,
Not by chance.

I choose to make changes,
Not excuses.

I choose to be useful,
Not used.

I choose self-esteem,
Not self-pity.

I choose to excel,
Not complain.

I choose to listen
To my inner voice,

Not the ramdom opinion
Of crowds.

  2. Thanks for the good googling, Karen. I went back to the original paper where I found this. It is indeed attributed to an Alexandra (not Alexander) Starr. It was handed to me in 2004. I hope that helps you in your quest to find the original author, in case it wasn’t Alexandra. Please let me know what you find.
