Happiness is Here and Now
Happiness is here and now.
I have dropped my worries.
Nothing to do. Nowhere to go.
There’s no need for hurry.
Happiness is here and now.
I have dropped my worries.
Something to do. Somewhere to go.
But, there’s no need for hurry.
I like this simple song. It reminds me that urgency doesn’t need to be frantic.
Thich Nhat Hanh often speaks about how each moment is a happy moment. He points out that if we have enough conditions to breathe, we have enough conditions for happiness.
You can hear this song on the Deer Park Monastery podcasts. (http://www.deerparkmonastery.org/) or look for dpcast in Apple’s iTunes.
You can read more about cultivating happiness and contentedness in other posts on this blog.
Although I still haven’t out how to buy a CD online, the Deer Park site has some wonderful tracks from more than one CD collection.
